Women's Bonfire Committee 

Women's Bonfire Committee exists to create a community of support for women participants in Student Bonfire, advocate equality between men and women participants, and provide educational opportunities. 

 

Goals:

1) To establish a community of support for women who participate in Student Bonfire and create a sense of unity amongst all crews. 

​

2) To promote participation of women in all aspects of Student Bonfire.

​

3) To help create and provide support to women in new opportunities and leadership positions. 

​

4) To provide educational opportunities to train individuals in the skills necessary for excelling in Bonfire. 

​

5) To provide accurate stories and history, and dispel myths of women participation in Student Bonfire and Aggie Bonfire. 

​

6) To provide a positive atmosphere in order to empower female participants in their developing and continued success.

​

7) To provide support to Student Bonfire through financial backing, advocacy, and outreach to the regular student population. 

​

8) To provide help in recruitment of women to Student Bonfire for all crews.

​

9) To provide opportunities for participation by women who can't or don't want to come out  to cut and stack but want to support those who do.

​

10) To promote the unity of women amongst crews through socials and meetings not related to the season.
